Oh by 'pronounced' I meant in the sense of obvious to the eye. Because even so-called 单眼皮 have the "second" (this is so factually inaccurate I need to be forgiven for saying this, but that's what this whole "double/single eyelid" concept is all about ...) fold of skin--that's how our eyelids work after all--it's just tucked away, out of sight.

双眼皮 shuāngyǎnpí and 单眼皮 dānyǎnpí are in the vocab list.

I'm not at all someone of Pete's caliber, but the ones that seem to work most easily with a direct -able translation are 可爱 (adorable) and 可靠 (dependable, reliable).

Other common ones that come to mind are 可惜 (regrettable), 可怕 (fear-able = frightening).

Great username!

Quite a few Japanese apparently do that too--the brushing teeth before breakfast. But nobody in my family does; actually nobody I know does, so I've always found it just as strange as you do.

We take baths at night too, this I feel quite strongly about. Same with the Chinese, as a good Japanese you don't slip into bed 脏. Since the 80s I think showering in the morning--朝シャン asa-shan (morning shampoo)--started becoming de rigueur among teenage girls (you know how oily teenagers are. and very self-conscious. it's also American influence I'm sure). I think most people today still are used to having a proper bath before bed. We love our baths, can't live without them.

Mmm it's not just white people though, with natural, pronounced 双眼皮. Our world is made up of more than just East Asians and caucasian 欧美人.

OK just went back and re-listened to the N&F. You did call her Dino, after her interview with Jenny and John (during which there was no mention that she had an English name). Sorry.

That really didn't register you see, esp as there was discussion in the comments section about her name but nothing about Dino.

The first line in the Lesson Information box. You have "Hosts: John, Dino".

I was just pointing that out.
