It's only got two corners. It's a square with Chinese characteristics.

Ok, I listened to it on the way home.

To those people who often raise the point that there is a big gap between Elementary and Intermediate - what about this one?

I don't think it was any harder than any other intermediate lesson - possibly slightly because there's so much new vocab in it, particularly lots of 机器, which I found difficult to remember. As with all intermediates I think it will take me 4 or 5 listens before I get anywhere with the vocab, but there's some good repetition which will hopefully let me at least remember some of it.

Jeez Louise, it was only published 1 day ago. I haven't even had a chance to listen to it yet.

Is this the normal order for this expansion sentence?

怎么这么

Or can you also say:

怎么这么了?

Sorry, missed this! Apparently it's normal. But since she's been in England for nearly 10 years, she's become a weird english chinese hybrid so it bothers her more now :)

Followed by a mingling of disgust... regret... embarrassment... shame... joy... happiness... sadness... delight... ennui...
