October 23, 2007 at 1:28 PMArtkho, After 4 yrs of college level Chinese instruction, I don't ever remember this dialogue being discussed! Chinesepod is doing a very good job of introducing new materials! I have come into the habit of checking out all of the new lessons, regardless of level. Even occasionally in the Newbie sessions, I learn something new. Chi doufu (吃豆腐) was an excellent example! My professors, 40 years ago would have never mentioned this subject!

October 22, 2007 at 3:37 PMMy Chinese teacher insists that we should use 口 rather than 个 in the questions 你有几口人？and 我家有六人。 Is there a difference? Can you use either? Which is preferred?
