I was a bit surprised that you did not include the phrase, 感恩节快乐 in your lesson. BUT I certainly will say to all, 你们好. 感恩节快乐! 奥森

谢谢您。 Amber 写 hi wolson, Both are acceptable: 你家有几口人? Nǐ jiā yǒu jǐ kǒu rén? 你家有几个人? Nǐ jiā yǒu jǐ gè rén?

Artkho, After 4 yrs of college level Chinese instruction, I don't ever remember this dialogue being discussed! Chinesepod is doing a very good job of introducing new materials! I have come into the habit of checking out all of the new lessons, regardless of level. Even occasionally in the Newbie sessions, I learn something new. Chi doufu (吃豆腐) was an excellent example! My professors, 40 years ago would have never mentioned this subject!

My Chinese teacher insists that we should use 口 rather than 个 in the questions 你有几口人?and 我家有六人。 Is there a difference? Can you use either? Which is preferred?
