June 4, 2008 at 10:55 AMBillm,
Thanks for the advice yeah I agree - Intermediate is not overwhelming, but I certainly do find it challenging! (Often listening to the dialogue tens of times)
You said much has been made of the gap between Elementary and Intermediate. Even though the Intermediate levels are already segmented (intermediate & upper intermediate) I find there is still quite a bit of variation. Some Intermediate lessons I can do quite easily...some I can't do at all!

May 31, 2008 at 10:24 AMHi, hate to be critical of anyhting involving Chinesepod, but arnt the dialogues getting a bit repetitive?
I think you have covered all the words before in this lesson besides 'shaokao' and 'jichi'
I would of course, go on to the intermediate lessons, but i'm not there just quite yet.
Thats another thing - I feel like there is quite a big step up from elementary to the intermediate level.

May 9, 2008 at 6:01 AMCan't believe Ken & Jenny didn't get a starring role in SHEs film clip 'Zhongguohua' about foreigners studying English...I thought the bit at the end when the foreigner asked 'Qingwen xishoujian zai nali' was hillarious! I credit it all to Chinesepod. You have made this seemingly difficult language so accessible to veryone who wants to study it!

April 1, 2008 at 1:18 AMThis lesson wasn't too hard, in terms of difficulty...but is it just me or a Intermediate Lessons A LOT harder than Elementary lessons?

October 14, 2007 at 6:18 AMGreat lesson! I was in class the other day when one of my students said 'tai pang le' straight to my face! To which I responded 'Ni shuo shenme?' I may not be getting any thinner, but my Chinese is getting better. Thanks Chinesepod.

July 24, 2008 at 2:03 PMI can't believe Carlton won that game! Prior to that I think we beat them 5 times in a row, something that has never happened before - at least not during my lifetime!
Also, as an Australian, I have difficulty describing the sports I like. A typical conversation is as follows:
Ni xihuan zuqiu ma? Bu xihuan
Ni xihuan lanqiu ma? Bu xihuan
Ni xihuan shenme?
I then respond by saying "aoshi ganlanqiu" which I have difficulty explaining.
Another sport I also enjoy (and have trouble explaining) is Cricket. I usually just end up responding by saying 'bangqiu' (baseball). I think a cricket based lesson would be good, as after this lesson, I think Chinesepod has proven that it caters to absolutely ALL users, from all nationalities and just about every sports user, no matter how localised!
Cheers Chinespod! Tai bang le!
