HI Christina, It's something like this:

The appointed market maker, Barclays Bank, and market [stabilization] agent, Goldman Sachs, in addition to making a tidy profit from commission fees, also benefit from the prestige of working on the 'largest IPO in human history'.

笑话要解释呢,就不好笑吧!这个笑话在2014年的爱丁堡边缘艺术节(Edingburgh Fringe Festival)被投票为最搞笑的笑话。英文的原版就是"I've decided to sell my Hoover … well, it was just collecting dust."。冷不冷?

我把我的吸尘器给卖掉了,反正它只是积灰尘而已。

Does this joke work in Chinese?

Hi Gwilym, Thanks for your response. I've tried copying and pasting from the dialogue tab before, but when you paste it into word you still get a load of 'stuff' between each line of dialogue which you then have to go through and delete.

I've just tried your suggestion, but it wants to print the entire page not just the selected text.

Really, I was wondering how much extra effort it would take for CPod to publish an additional PDF and text version with just the Chinese. I think it would be useful addition to the site, especially for the higher level lessons. Just an idea!

Hi Gwilym - Great job on the video!

I have a request/suggestion:

Would be possible to have the option to print (or copy and paste) just the Chinese dialogue (with the pinyin and translations removed)? That would be a really useful feature for me. Thanks!

Hi aprillardie, I think you could use "很高兴认识你" when you meet someone for the first time if you have never had contact with the person before (for example if a friend inroduces them to you). But if you have already had some form of communication with them (e.g. talked on the phone previously) and then you meet face-to-face for the first time 认识 would be a bit strange (because you already 'know' each other) and it would be better to use 见到。
