March 9, 2013 at 9:57 AMHey Timothy, this "不是...吗？" is a fairly common pattern meaning "Don't you...?" or "Aren't you...?" (used when you're pretty confident - maybe even certain - that the person actually "does..." or "is...").
I'm not sure that's a very clear explaination, but there's an old Qing Wen on it if you're interested:

March 6, 2013 at 10:54 AMHi bohan - in the context of this dialogue, I'd say 行李架 and 行李舱 are interchangeable. Not sure which is more common, but I've come across both being used to refer to the overhead compartments。Without context though, 飞机的行李舱 may also be interpreted as the 货舱 - the part of the plane where the check-in luggage is put. To be clear, you could say 头顶上的。。。
