发 showed up the other day in 发票, and it was 1st tone, not 4th or neutral. Is that because we weren't talking about hair?

oops... should be tīngbuqīng, not tīngbuchīng. I get in a hurry and I start typing phonetically.

Back in the day, I asked about 看不出 (kànbuchū) and 听不清 (tīngbuchīng), which I learned were "complements" as well. How closely related are they to the 不出来 and 得出来 we heard about here?

In the following expansion sentence, could you substitute 什么 (shénme) for 哪些 (nǎxiē)? 明天去看比赛，我得带哪些东西？ (míngtiān qù kàn bǐsài, wǒ děi nǎxiē dōngxi?) What things should I bring to go watch the game tomorrow?

Ok, Amber, I have a grammar question. In your examples, you used both the "有...层" (yǒu...céng) structure and the "是...层的" (shì...céng de) structure to say "x building is x stories tall." Can you expound on this a little?
