December 28, 2007 at 6:11 PMIt seems like it could go either way in this context, although the difference here would be of little consequence. In other contexts, however, it seems like it would be more important to differentiate between the two; e.g. "I made him jump off the roof," vs. "I let him jump off the roof." Do you just use a different word or something? Maybe I'm reading too much into it... Be patient with me; I'm new to this whole "Intermediate" thing. :)

December 28, 2007 at 4:18 AMIn the first few lines of dialogue, 让 (ràng) seems to switch back and forth between "let" and "make." How do you tell the difference (without going to CPod and rolling over the characters)?
