December 16, 2007 at 11:35 PMZhang Ziyi definitely has a spot in my top 5. I'm pretty sure what Clay was talking about was true of Western culture at one time. People used to refer to the aristocrats as "blue bloods," due to the fact that they spent very little time outdoors, and their veins showed through their pale skin.

December 18, 2007 at 3:15 AMI agree with Doc. It needs to be mentioned somewhere, whether it's Qing Wen or a Newbie/Elementary lesson. 一 (yī) shows up a lot, and for the last six months, I've been trying to pronounce it first tone every time.
