heh I've noticed more than a few translations recently sound distinctly non-American. Looks like Cpod has lost all native speakers of American English on their staff, or they are too lazy to proof now...

There is no "Exercises" tab on this lesson, am i crazy or what gives?

I see Dis,Dia,Voc,Exp,Gra,Cla,Task tabs, no Exe tab

is anyone else having this problem?  I can't finish this lesson, i've done all the work but there is no reward, getting frustrated here :(

Agreed, and what does 'to stop up' mean? That doesn't make it more clear...

Hi bababardwan, yes , was referring to the specific grammar page for this lesson. It's a bit too short to help the original poster, I thought. And I also can't seem to be able to find the grammar wiki with links and levels. It only exists on Allset website now, it looks like.

yea, the grammar page doesn't go into it, you may find a better explanation here http://resources.allsetlearning.com/chinese/grammar/Verbing_briefly

it serves the purpose of softening the tone, as in "你收藏" would loosely mean "you must bookmark this", and "你收藏一下吧" would mean "why don't you bookmark it". Both sentences achieve the goal of conveying the imperative, but one has a friendlier register. This is how I make sense of it, but of course I could be very wrong, I am a bear of very little brain, so YMMV.

Maybe I misunderstood you, in US foreign students (F or J visa) are allowed to intern and get paid for 12 or 18 months during their study term. All they need is a simple form from the school with one signature, no need for a work visa.

Tried to listen to this on the drive to work this morning (June 3rd) -- no go, iPhone app complained about AUDIO PLAY FAIL or something similar :(

recommend to change maturity level to something else from \"General\", as John drops the A$$ werd while explaining \"making a fool of yourself\"...

Yeah, the ban seems to be in effect, and cabbies are actually adhering to it, impressive job on the side of the Shanghai local gov't. A funny side effect, however, seems to be that now between 6:00 and 6:30 pm I see dozens of cabs pulled over by the side of the road, not picking up any fares at all. Now I can't use the app, or hail, so a loss/loss for me during the rush hour :( I guess might as well stay at the office until 6:30 when the ban expires...
