Every single textbook that I've seen that either come from Mainland China or otherwise teach Mainland-style Mandarin, all teach 口 as the measure word for counting the number of people in families but this popular textbook published in Taiwan (called Practical Audio-Visual Chinese) has been the only textbook that teaches as 个.

March 1, 2013 at 7:23 AMWhat's interesting is if you go to certain districts in many big cities in Korea where Korean-Chinese (中国朝鲜族人) migrant workers do business, there are so many restaurants that serve dog meat. They have signs like 延吉狗肉汤, etc.
They also eat dog in the Philippines which I heard is prepared in a completely different style than how Koreans prepare it.
The only meat I never really liked is horse meat. So rough...
