August 20, 2009 at 11:49 AMThe lesson vocabulary says detergent is 洗洁精 xi3jie2jing1.
Dictionaries say detergent is 清洁剂 qing1jie2ji4
请问 what is the difference between the two definitions?
ps: apparently another meaning for 精 is semen.

I think China is in a dilemma with America. The American economy is in a state of confusion, the American dollar continues to fall, bringing down with it the vast dollar reserves China has in America. If China withdraws its foreign reserves too quickly, it will definitely cause the Renmingbi to rise. Too high a Renmingbi will cause high unemployment in China which has the danger of social unrest. A solution is for China to buy real estate or U.S. companies, however I think it is likely the U.S. Congress will not allow this to happen.
Please correct my Chinese.

Just to add to Tal's feedback about audio problems. The audio in the expansion sentences of various lessons are also quite inaudible without turning the volume full blast.... for example the "Here Comes The Baby" expansion sentences.
But I must say that I'm a bit surprised by your response which seems to imply that Cpod's recording process is quite intricate, including its dependency on "people's recording techniques". What's happened to Dad's time when even the most basic recording devices have volume meters to inform speakers whether they're standing too far or near from the mike, or speaking too loud or soft? Anyway, it's good to know you're now on the case and it's only the outcome that will count.
