The terminology translation would be 法庭的会计师 however there could be a special term for this profession in China. Will be interesting to hear from Cpod.

Your explanation of the two sentences is interesting in that you said (a) 我不希望你去北京 has a stronger connotation than (b) 我希望你不去北京, and yet both sentences translate in English as "I hope you won't go to Beijing." In English, we can express the stronger connotation by saying " I really hope you won't go to Beijing." Interestingly, in Chinese the emphasis is made by simply negating 希望 i.e. 不希望 which illustrates why learning to express in Chinese context is very difficult for Westerners because we would never say the literal translation "I don't hope you go to Beijing." to mean I [really, really, oh please] hope you don't go to Beijing.
BTW, you can use "I don't hope..." in English provided it is used in the right context. E.g. "I don't hope for you to get into trouble in Beijing even though I hope you don't go there."
Similarly, we don't say "I don't wish that you go to Beijing" for "I wish you don't go to Beijing.

July 23, 2009 at 1:12 AMYour understanding is same as mine i.e. nei is 'na yi' and can only be used before a classifier. However, both these sentences: 他那张嘴太厉害了，谁都说不过他 and 那条路很堵，我们走另一条吧 have classifiers after 那.
That's why I'm puzzled why one is pronounced as 'nei' and the other as 'na'.
Cpod, can you please tell us why?

Please correct my Chinese. I wanted to say "The city I live in has terrible speeding tickets. If someone drives 50 kph above the speed limit, the fine ranges from $2,000 to $5,000, plus the insurance premium will go sky high. Drag racing is not only dangerous but can also be very expensive.
