Alaf and msmata use the admin on the bottom of their photo. Maybe time for Chinesepod to create a different design for their own posts.

interesting use of 了解 in: 他对这儿很了解 If I want to say, "I know Beijing well" could I say: 我对北京很了解 ? could I also say: 我了解北京得很好 ? Would be interesting to have a Qing Wen on the use of 了解 vs 懂, 明白,认识, 知道

Once again Kyle's answers are incorrect. I quote Connie in : http://chinesepod.com/learnchinese/nationalities Where are you from? : 你是哪的?(Nǐ shì nǎ de?) + other examples from this lesson: 你是哪里人? 你是哪个国家的? 你从哪里来?(Nǐ cóng nǎlǐ lái?) or 你从哪儿来? ni3 cong2 nar3 lai2 means : Where do you come from ? Coming from Tokyo doesn't mean that I am Japanese.
