thanks Xiaohu, The longest post I've read sofar on Chinesepod as I usually skip reading those >10 lines. I will certainly reap some huge benefit from it. I found helencgq pronounciation tips in this thread extremely useful too: http://chinesepod.com/extra/accents-and-subway-survival/discussion

Never heard of the expression "bumming a smoke" before. Probably not that widely used because, when you google "bumming a smoke", Chinesepod comes in the first two results with this lesson.

heruilin, I don't even know how you manage to mix traditional characters and simplified characters (such as 買) when you type. I am never offered the choice to type a traditional character.

Chinese pronounciation is a nightmare for me, not grammar which is relatively easy.

frank, as I suspect there are different ways to say living-room or bathroom for example, to have both a lesson and a QW would be good.

I support Chris1's idea. Also, I suggest a new QW on the different rooms in an apartment: room, living-room, guest-room, kitchen, bathroom, toilets.

How would you say: "I want to go to the toilets" if you are at somebody's place ?

我觉得中国人可以是世界上最礼貌的人还是世界上最无礼的人 I found Chinese people can be either the most polite people in the world or the rudest.
