Thanks. I don't understand the meaning of 平面 here. The dictionary says 'plane' but Jenny is talking about media such as television .... How is a plane a medium for news?

July 15, 2009 at 12:31 PMThe occurrence of 场合 - situation, in the chat reminded me that I am confused by the apparent multitude of ways of translating 'situation'.
I first learned 情况, but there is also 状况 and 状态 and probably many more.
Any guidance?

It is nothing like the French uvular R which comes from the throat not the top of the mouth
