可以说：他今天呆在家里，没有出去玩。“
“一直”和“都”常常一起用 indicate emphasis，可以去掉“都”，说：”他今天一直呆在家里，没有出去玩“。
但"他今天都呆在家里，没有出去玩。"sounds a little bit weird.
