不是一概的。对不起，我昨天没有说清楚。有的形容词也可以ABAB的重叠，这种形容词前面不能用"很"来修饰,它们（the adject used to describe a state, not a degree)一般不表示程度，只是表示一种状态。比如: '冰凉'（as cold as ice) '雪白'(as white as snow)

不能说：她的脸很雪白，小手很冰凉。但是可以说：她的脸雪白雪白的，小手冰凉冰凉的。

对，两个字的形容词常常可以用AABB的格式重叠着说，“简单简单”不可以说哦，可以ABAB重叠的词一般是两个字的动词，比如：“讨论讨论”。我们今天讨论讨论经济适用男。

我最怕吃胶囊，因为它们会粘在喉咙上。

wǒ zuìpà chī jiāo náng, yīnwei tāmen huǐ zhān zài hóulong shàng.

I hate medical capsules, they may stick on the throat, that's really awful!

I have a nephew 1 year older than me, he has a 18 month daughter, he told me his daughter can speak some of words now. so after I come back to my hometown in this coming spring festival, the girl will address me 奶奶. It's funny, I am 26 years old and am already 奶奶 now!

记得 means being able to remember, the word 记得 is from V+得 structure, 得 followed the single charactor verb means 'can', 'be able to ' 。e.g.：这双鞋穿得吗？（zhè shuāng xié chuān de ma?） the negation of V+得 is V 不得， e.g. 昨天的菜吃不得了。(zuó tiān de cài chī bù de le?) . But 记得 is a little bit different from most of the V + 得 structure, it now can be regards as one word instead of two independent words, so we can negate 记得 as 不记得。

So we can't say 因为可以直接叫他名字，不用记得奇怪的称呼。Because 记得 doesn't only means to remember, but being able to remember.
