I thought you were saying: 每隔 (every) 一周 (week)
but instead you are saying: 每 (every/each) 隔一周 (alternate week).
I was putting joining the wrong characters together in my translation. Your example of 隔一个 made me realise this.

May 31, 2008 at 4:22 AMYeh twice a month. So if we had a BBQ last week, we wouldn't have one this week but we would have one next week.
Your sentence 我们每隔一周烧烤 sounds more like you are saying: "We BBQ at intervals of once a week" or "We BBQ every one week". Using that same lexis wouldn't it be: 我们每隔二周烧烤?

How binding is the marriage certificate before the "social marriage"? If the couple decide to not get married do they need to get a "legal" divorce?
I assume by the dialogue that people will celebrate their wedding anniversary not on the legal date but on the social date?
When people say "from the North" or "from the South" where is the hypotheotical line that marks the boundary between North and South?

Just like 英 is used by itself here:
英文
But when talking about a person's nationality you have to say that they are from a place:
中国人 - Person from Country/Nation/State called China
英国人 - Person from Country/Nation/State called England
