About 落户, I thought that it came from an universal human habit to open all the doors and windows when settling in a new home.

As 落户 is used here for buildings (厂商 and 保税港),  I looked around to see if 落户 could also be used to describe animals who settle in a new environment (where they can't open doors/windows and where there're no doors/windows top open).

I just found an article about 大熊猫创创和林惠安家落户 (male panda Chuangchuang and female panda Linhui settle) here.

About what Changye said before I also have a question.

If 你忙去吧 = 你去忙吧

then logically 你死去吧 = 你去死吧 (sorry to bring the subject of death in a thread about opening a factory)

but I thought that 死去 means to die and then leave when 去死 means to leave and then die.

When the 董 family get together to discuss family affairs, could we say that 董事会 懂事会董问题 ?  ;o)

Is 排骨 a generic term for 猪排骨 in mainland China only because porc is the most available sort of meat there ?

I think that lamb, dog and chicken can also be served as 排骨 : 羊排骨 (羊排), 狗排骨 (狗排) and 鸡排骨 (鸡排).

Bigger animals are not served as a group of ribs 排骨 but only as a single rib (肋骨) : 牛肋骨, 马肋骨, ...

I wonder if there are exceptions to this rule ?

I now understand what "giving over to the prime rib Burger" could also mean. I'll be careful with this one.

Marcod,

Did you know that the word "menu" in english comes from french ? (actually it comes from the latin "minutus")

"Menu" could be a noun (menu) or an adjective (piccolo) in french but it can only be a noun in modern english. Then "the menu stealer" resorts to double-entendre for french speakers.  ;o)
