According to Wikipedia's entry on that subject, Wikipedia stopped being blocked as a whole after 2008. Only some specific pages (mostly in chinese) remain unaccessible. As RJ said, I think it could also be region specific and event specific.
But is Kunming that special ? Can you see the following page ?

"什么时候举行婚礼呢?" Vs "什么时候举办婚礼呢?"
But looking closer, I can see some kind of pattern. With 举行 the subject is often a place while 举办 needs people or some kind of organization as subject.

举办婚礼 has 1.660.000 results on Google

August 24, 2011 at 11:27 AMThank you, 《绝代双骄》 seems like a romantic Wuxia. On the english version of the entry, Wikipedia only gives the names of Xiaoyu's girlfriends. But, apparently, his good twin brother Hua Wuque shared the same girlfriends.
