Once again, the video is excellent. I do enjoy the sense of fun that you bring to learning the Chinese language.

This is excellent and takes Chinesepod to a new level of teaching. It is as though I have a tutor available. A technical comment: on Google Chrome the sizing of the two videos is such that I have to cut off Gwilym and Fiona's heads in order to follow the text video. This does not prevent watching the videos but hopefully is an easy fix for technical staff.

A couple of comments: First the purple color for characters and text in the video gets lost against the background - not enough contrast. Second, at one point the band that the characters and text are on hid Fiona's mouth. Good format since tones are most important and hardest to grasp.

When I first saw the use of the word learnt in the lesson, I questioned its use. Since we are learners here, I found the following below. I learned the British English is often different from U.S. English.

Learned vs. learnt  http://grammarist.com/spelling/learned-learnt/ (condensed here to save space)

Learned is the more common past tense and past participle of the verb learnLearnt is a variant especially common outside North America. In British writing, for instance, it appears about once for every three instances of learned. In the U.S. and Canada, meanwhile, learnt appears only once for approximately every 500 instances of learned, and it’s generally considered colloquial.

This lesson uses xiōng (fierce). One of the funniest lessons ever also contains this word, although it is an old one: The Man and the Dog B0435
