Got the first two, the third is a mystery.

Fun! As a person new to lantern festival riddles I looked these up on the internet, yet have no solution, only a riddle to add. What goes into the water black and comes out red? I am from Maine. This should be easier than the riddles presented here.

Puzzled by七分裤 so I looked them up on Google images and get a 7/8's length and a 3/4 length in the images. My literal mind goes with the 7/8's as七分裤 but the lecture describes them as 3/4's length. Just a guy puzzled by women's fashions!

A good lesson with challenging women's fashions.

Great!

I apparently missed the introduction of Chinesepod TV. Is this a regular feature, and if so how do I access it from Chinesepod? Fiona's background is very interesting and a bit similar to my wife's who is also from Taiwan.

One of the important aspects of learning chinese from Chinesepod is the sense of personal connection with the on-air staff. Please give us a sense of who the hosts are for this lesson. Thank you - a faithful learner and follower of this blog.

The two lessons before this had enough problems with sound volume that it was very hard to study the exercises. I realize that in "real life" we encounter background noise, low volume, variable sound levels, but there should be a consistency in a lesson.

I appreciate this lesson. It's both a change from usual lessons and beautiful in itself.

Having taken a number of first aid courses the American Red Cross has specific recomendations for victims of choking that are available on the internet. Two such sources are:

https://www.redcross.org/flash/brr/English-html/conscious-choking.asp. For someone who cannot speak: http://www.redcross.org/images/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m4240176_ConsciousChokingPoster_EN.pdf

In the U.S. taking a life save course, usually presented in a local community is recommended and in particular for any parent of a young child.

I have stuck rose thorns into my body and have an after effect that might linger for a day or so. The throat lining is more sensitive than the skin, so I am wondering  if perhaps, in Jenny's example, the fish bone might have been gone with an effect that lasted for a few days. Any physicians out there to ponder this?

The use of lai in grammar is from the website http://cn.hujiang.com/new/p527413/. "The word (lái) can be used to connect two verb phrases, relating the actions to each other in Chinese grammar. It can be translated as "in order to" or "so that" and it can help in explaining reasoning." They give various examples.
