October 3, 2011 at 4:57 AMThank you! We are very excited about these new localization plans. Each market has its peculiarities. So we've had to learn but unlearn a lot at the same time. We hope we will help students in Korea, Japan and Russian solve their problems.

October 3, 2011 at 4:55 AMUnfortunately we are blocked in China. What a nightmare! We are working hard to contact the authorities and try to determine the cause and next steps. In the meantime, could I trouble you to use a proxy? Our sincere apologies!

October 3, 2011 at 4:53 AMHi,
It means you currently have a free account. In order to access the content and tools, please upgrade to either basic or Premium. You can do that by going to the "Store" and purchase a subscription that suits you.

October 3, 2011 at 4:46 AMIt seems like our site is blocked by China. We are working hard to determine the cause but with the current holiday, it might take a few days to get to the bottom of the problem and see what we need to do to get the site back for users in China. In the meantime, could I trouble you to use a proxy? Our sincere apologies. This is a nightmare for us.

October 2, 2011 at 11:44 AMDoes it work now? My colleague was having issue at home too but it worked for me. I suspect it's internet provider cutting off access to sites hosted on foreign servers. China Telecom and Wangtong do that pretty often unfortunately. I tyested the iPhone app just now, It updated. It's likely to be a network issue, the same that caused problem accessing the site. Can you try access the site from another location to help determine the cause? My apologies.

October 2, 2011 at 11:38 AMcan you be more specific about the issue? Is it an issue with your feed where new lessons are not updating or an issue of downloading speed?

October 2, 2011 at 11:37 AMI tested your account and it worked. So it does sound like a network speed issue. Could you try a different access point like He2xu4 suggested and a different browser? I am sorry about the inconvenience!

October 1, 2011 at 11:49 PMI've never received any free upgrade, but I did recently received an email telling me now I am a "diamond" member and I don't have to freeze my savings when applying for visas through Ctrip to certain countries. A huge plus service for mainland Chinese.

October 1, 2011 at 11:45 PMThere is no exact range of 多, but I think it's safe to assume a 1-6 or even 7 kind of range, which of course can mean 1,2,3 or 4,5,6,7. Vagueness is a hallmark of Chinese. I think anything that exceeds the range is usually expressed with 快/kuài, which means "almost" when used with numbers. But unlike 多/duō which comes after a number, e.g. 一千多/yīqiān duō, 快 goes before a number, e.g. 快一千/kuài yīqian/almost 1000, which can mean 800, 900.

October 3, 2011 at 3:07 PM咱们 and 我们 mean exactly the same things, "we' or "us". The only difference is 咱们 is used more in the North and 我们 in the South. 我们 is also featured more prominently in standard Mandarin. We used 咱们 because we want to expose students to a variety of common words used in different parts of China.
