April 23, 2008 at 1:30 PMHK people who speak 普通話 mispronounce the initial n's as unaspirated l's. 你 in HK is commonly pronounced as li (not the 3rd tone, but the cantonese tone of the char.). 電腦 is pronounced as dian lao(same tone of the canto. pronunciation). It's kinda hard for me to communicate with people at the subway when I went to HK a year ago.

April 19, 2008 at 3:19 PMI've often heard that Chinese ppl. are so damn good in playing Ping-pong. Being 1/2 Chinese, I tried playing with the best in my school and I won. It seems that that stereotype is really true. I'm really sure that someone Chinese (either from Singapore, Malaysia, China, etc...)WILL be the GOLD medalist in the 乒乓球division.
