April 18, 2008 at 1:22 PMCantonese/Hoklo ppl. here in the Philippines hate it when some Filipinos and/or Americans mispronounce 點心/(Fil: dimsoom) ;風水/Fil: (poong sooy or any other Chinese word. They'd even go to the extent of embarrass you by even correcting you in public; or pick a fight with you. That only happens in some rural parts and less of the time in Metro Manila. In the Philippines: -PURE Chinese families are often very strict when it comes to relationships. They'd only marry people who are also FULL Chinese. BTW, good luck to all (contest)!
