May 16, 2012 at 10:14 PMluowen, thanks for sharing your views. I for one appreciate you pointing out the separation between your tone and your point. I agree the harsh tone eclipsed the point. Not many people including myself would have the insight to recognise this in the middle of a discussion and say it. Not that I can speak for them, but I suspect cpod staff would appreciate the apology.
I've learnt a lot from this discussion, not only about triathlons but about different people learning processes on cpod, which is always interesting. Look forward to future exchanges on our learning path.

May 12, 2012 at 2:44 PMSpeaking of 稳，one of the phrases I hear only in mainland China is 维稳 wéi wěn. Wondering if anyone else have heard it and willing to share your understanding of it. My understanding is that it is loosely translated as "preserving stability", it is used a lot by people I know who works in government policy areas. Aparently it is one of the guiding targets of govt policy development. It is related to the rapid economic growth and the social changes that comes with it, as well as the necessary strategies and tactics to maintain social stability. It has positive and negative conotations to it. Still need to some time to get my head around the various uses of the phrase.

May 10, 2012 at 9:38 AMHave to agree with you there about giving Cpod a break. WOW there's some adrenaline pumped into this discussion here over the past week! IMHO if Cpod staff has to achieve the level of understanding demanded here for every subject they cover, we're not going to get too many lessons.
Keep up the good work Cpod, and please don't make fret making a few mistakes. We're behind you!

说到”压“，也想起俗语“强龙不压地头蛇”，维稳应该是龙的使命还是蛇的任务呢……
