April 15, 2012 at 1:55 PMHi jkdfj, please excuse my vague bilingual reference... it is about poking fun at the English comma the Chinese enumerated comma "、". If the line is English it would be punctuated as you described, but if it is CHinese it should be as I wrote.
Anyway, thanks for your comment. I did not know that about the comma before "and". Get to learn some English grammar in Chinesepod as well. :-)

April 14, 2012 at 1:57 PMchris, are you sure it isn't 配 pèi 4th tone you are using? That means matching and can be used on food terminology, eg. 配料 pèi liào means ingredient.
陪 is commonly specific to accompanying people. However, can't guarantee restaurants won't use that to personalise their menus! Anything goes in Chinese commerce. :-)

咖啡加糖
咖啡加奶不加糖 （coffee with milk and no sugar)
For "coffee with 1 sugar" you would drop the 加 for convenience, so
咖啡一粒糖 or 咖啡一颗糖
That's what you say when you order. If you are using the phrase as a description, it would be 加糖的咖啡 （coffee with sugar) or 无糖的咖啡 (coffee without sugar).

My prime example of cpod contribution to my speaking skills is that whenever I am stuck trying to fight the crowds to get off the subway train, I always recall Amber's podcast (from the old "Dear Amber" series) on taking a bus, and what she said "要下!" always pops in my head. That is one of the things I really like about podcasts here, they are still the most fun to listen to compared to all other online chinese edu forums out there, which makes speech segments memorable, and therefore usable in real-life spurt-of-the-moment situations. These days I am too busy (lazy?) to study lessons, but I still listen to cpod's podcasts like it is radio.
