I do not remember which one - it is not yet in my "CPod lesson banter Grammar collection". But I am closing in - it cannot hide for much longer...

September 25, 2007 at 12:11 PMnicolas, by skipping changye's comments you are missing one of the highlighs here. The comments are often melancholic, often elegiac, and always worth reading. Plus much good & relevant vocab to learn. Changye himself actually stated a good reason for following newbie lessons someplace. Besides his comments on newbie lessons are treasure chests for newbies also.

And it costed 100 EUR. A treasure probably out of reach now forever.

September 28, 2007 at 5:30 AMAccording to my wife the 把-version 把钱给我看看 is the one to be preferred. Alternatively 让 might do instead of the 把. Goulnik, Kyle. I got ca. 4 kazillion times corrected for *not* using the 把-construction, but not even *once* for using it "too often". So I apply it now as much as I can - especially when speaking. According to my observations it always works when objects are physically moved or altered. It is definately not formal. Actually I like goulniks comparison to the Polnish notation a lot. Chinese sentences indeed seem to follow that stack-principle.
