Culture-related expansion question...

Is the:

好好学习放牛

a common threat?

Are Chinese parents really threatening their children to turn them into cowboys...

And if they still do not 听妈妈的话 maybe even astronauts?

hugorestall,

Troll in Mandarin:

  • 找抽 zhǎo chōu - "looking for a beating"
  • 攒塼盖楼 zǎn zhuān gài lóu: "Collect bricks to build a house" (the bricks can be easily gathered from the other Forum members who will try to stone you to death after your troll post)
  • 月经帖 refers more to the post itsself: A "mensturation post"

Thanks, Changye, very educational.

BTW: So why do you fear ?
