May 21, 2009 at 3:35 AM@bodawei- One's birthday has nothing to do with "虚岁", "虚岁" is not one's real age, so, "了" can not be added in this sentence "我27虚岁", but to "周岁", you can say "我27周岁了"....."了" is to indicate a fact. May 21, 2009 at 2:40 AMIt reminds me of my childhood. There was a street vendor not far away from my school, selling popcorn as Jenny mentioned. After school, my classmates got excited rushing out to see the process of making popcorn! When the popcorn was almost ready to serve, an explosion happened. Now, it'll be weird to think that popcorn come after an explosion. :)
