August 6, 2009 at 6:23 AM@bababardwan, I searched and it's called 上网自诊狂 shàngwǎng zì zhěn kuáng. I sometimes suffer from that, and I find when I type a symptom, and the result is soooo serious. They simply scared me. (I'm wondering does it have something to do with hospital marketing?)

August 6, 2009 at 2:51 AM@kunmingpete, "car surfing" is a new word to me. It's a dangerous game. I can not even keep balance standing on a moving car. "surfing" is "冲浪", and maybe "car surfing", "车顶冲浪"...sounds funny!

August 5, 2009 at 9:18 AM@xiaophil, the translation could be this "比起拥有苗条的身材，美国人宁愿拥有洁白的牙齿”，but "宁愿" here has the implication that you don't want 苗条的身材 at all.
宁愿[寧願] nìngyuàn adv. would rather; better | Wǒ ∼ bù chīfàn yě bù chī nèi ge. I'd rather not eat at all than eat that.
But actually they need both "苗条的身材" and "洁白的牙齿". If they could only pick one, they'll choose the latter.

很难说中国是否会成为世界第一强国。很重要的一个因素就是中国的人口，（当然这不是唯一的因素） ，现在的大人口对中国的发展有利，但是不久的将来大人口就会限制中国的发展，因为资源不足。
