I have it on fairly good authority that the following would be an authentic way to say it.

當我在中國飯店的時候. 我不喜歡服務員沒有給我筷子.

dāngwǒ zài zhōngguó fàndiàn de shíhòu. wǒ bù xǐhuān fúwùyuán méiyǒu gěi wǒ kuàizi.

How would you say complain by saying how long you have been waiting?

I want to say:

I've been waiting 45minuts and the food still has not come.

Would it be

我等四十五分鐘, 菜還不來! wo3 deng3 si4shi2wu3 fen1zhong1, cai4 hai2 bu4 lai2.

?!?

wǒ xǐhuān lán sè. wǒ juéde lánsè de yīfú hěn hǎo kàn.

I like blue, I think (feel) blue clothes look very good.

Excellent. Thanks Calkins. I thought it might be sometihng along those lines but the main vocab section in this lesson did not supply the "to take off" hanzi.

So to "take slippers off"... it would be tuō tuōxié??

The vocab for "take off you shoes" in this lesson was tuōxié and the supplimentary vocab word for "slippers" appears to be the same.

Can anyone impart some wisdom for me here? Are they supposed to be the same?

Hello all,

            I notice this lesson has the word Zhen1 会 which means "Really"

In previous lessons "Really" is referred to as Zhen1de 真的

My question is...are there any rules on when to add the "de" 的???
