September 2, 2010 at 10:38 PMActually, that was almost zero effort. I just copied and pasted into Pinyinizer, then copied and pasted the results back here. Pinyinizer does make mistakes though, and I didn't try to find them.

"Zuò" hé "zuò" yǒu shénme qūbié?, Néngbùnéng shūo"zuò zuòyè"???
Xièxie
Connie:
"Zuò zuòyè" is incorrect.
"Zuò" is usually used as a verb, means "to do/make something".
eg, Nǐ zài zuò shénme? Zuòzuo yè, zuò cài, zuò jiāwù, zuòshēngyì
zuò usually appears in words and chengyu that have abstract meanings.
eg, Zuòyè, zuòwén, zuòwéi, zuòqǔ
channelǖ986:
Bùkěyǐ shūo "Zuò zuòyè" ;zuò shì yīgè dòngcí;zuò yībān chūxiàn zài dāncí zhōng, eg: Zuòwén
maloum:
Xièxie nǐmen bāngzhù.
Nǐmen de yìsi shìbùshì "Zuò" bùnéng zuò dòngcí? Yǒu dòngcí de dōu yào yòng zuò."Zuò dòngcí"dezuoshìbùshì yòng de duì????

This thread does not appear on the Conversations page, nor on the Dashboard, although it does appear on the RHS of the Lessons page.

August 27, 2010 at 10:25 PMWithout listening to the conversation, a quick dictionary search gives:
甘当 (gāndāng): to be willing to accept
It is the only word listed with that Pinyin. Not sure if thats what you are looking for.

August 20, 2010 at 9:46 AMThis is explained in explained in some of the Intermediate lessons. 如果 precedes the conditional statement, while 的话 follows it. They basically mean the same thing. There are 4 possibilities:
1. 如果 ...
2. ... 的话
3. 如果 ... 的话
4. and where both are missing, and somehow you're suppose to guess that the speaker means 'if'.

August 20, 2010 at 9:42 AMSynonymous with 'to know', 认识 is 'to recognise', or 'to be acquainted with'.
I'm guessing that a character is considered something to recognise or be acquainted with, rather than being a piece of information to be digested.

August 19, 2010 at 10:35 PMDo you mean PDFs?
CPod began adding PDFs to Qingwen almost exactly one year ago (starting with QW112). At this time, they promised that they would gradually add PDFs to the older lessons, working their way from QW111 back to QW001. Not one extra PDF has been added. And all questions relating to this matter has been ignored. I can only assume that the answer to your question is 'no'.
