September 6, 2010 at 7:21 AMOK. I am starting to become just a little suspicious.
In the last couple of weeks, there has been a batch of new accounts floating around. They seem to make simple comments like this one, of no particular value, and in many cases they are nonsensical.
Some features of these accounts that I've noticed:
1. The avatar typically features an attractive girl.
2. The comments they make are typically in response to old comments, where a matter is long-resolved, or a user is long-gone.
3. They typically operate together, with a number of accounts adding comments over a short period of time, say 30 minutes, and then nothing for a few days, before they start up again.
3. The usernames tend to look similar - this is one of a batch that contain a dot (which is not all that common), another batch have a person's name followed by a 2-digit number.
4. They seem to be trying to stir up some activity on the Newbie and Elementary boards.
Having said that, I can't be 100% that this user belongs to that group, and my apologies to her if I have picked the wrong one to single out. But I'm definitely seeing a pattern.

September 5, 2010 at 1:49 PMNo difference - just alternative pronunciations. You can't use nèi in every situation that you can use nà , but before a measure word they are interchangeable.

September 5, 2010 at 9:07 AMDo you know where she is?
The question is not asking where she is, only whether the addressee knows where she is.
It requires a yes/no answer, hence the 吗.

I wasn't sure about labeling this one spam - I let another one go a couple of days ago which advertised a Tibetan travel agency. I guess the difference is that the other one had some relevance to the lesson. Anyway, my 'heading' is simply to allow CPod to see it.

Actually, I agree with this even at the lower levels.
