January 18, 2013 at 1:32 PMThis is definitely much better than a male protestant pastor who left his family for another man. His family was devastated and his congregation in disarray. The women particularly felt abandoned and betrayed.
Then a preacher at EWTN said that gay men are called to a life of celibacy. Later on he was pulled out of the program for allegedly making sexual advances to his employee.
EWTN also interviewed and criticized Melinda Gates, a catholic and the wife of Bill Gates, in "The World Over" program for donating condoms to Africa to prevent AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. Like her and many women, I am in favor of preventing unwanted pregnancies using methods other than Natural Family Planning. We feel that we are responsible for the children we bring into this world and it is a sin to make them suffer if we cannot take good care of them. We are not inclined to give them up for adoption as an option. This is our reproductive rights; this is not Halloween"Trick or Treats" . We will take our issues directly to God.
This debate is going to be a long and unending one.
