Joachim, Sebire,

There's a free guide that covers those subjects.  One problem is that there are quicktime sound clips and they start spontaneously. Now that's a real cacophony.
把那个学好了一定要教我吧!^_^

您多大年纪了? Nin2 duo1da4 nian2ji4 le5? How old are you?

I heard that in chinese audio course.

Hi Changye and Connie,

thanks for the help. Sometimes I've been wondering about why certain words were split to form "V + time + O" sentences. I start to understand now :) Are there any common verbs that has the V+V pattern? Seems  can't think of any.

Changye,

considering the "V + O" structure words (e.g. tiao4wu3) and "V + V" structure words (e.g. you2yong3), is there a difference in how to express how long those actions are performed? E.g. I danced for 3 hours. I swam for 3 hours.

Great, I could ask the hotel to buy a ticket for me. Then I will try to buy a ticket myself and try get the money back :) The small admin charge will be the price for that lesson. That is to say if I succeed...

I can't view han4zi4 on the computer I'm using these two days :/ I'll check http://www.huoche.biz later. I remember the price was 103 yuan on www.huoche.com.cn.

zhenlijiang,

有的事情好了有的还没有好了. 拿到新credit card以前不能买飞zhenliji票; The 航空公司 wouldn't accept my VISA card! 怎么会啊!不过飞机票已经定了^_^ Let's just hope the card arrives on time to pay the tickets.

shenyajin,

I see. Is it OK to say 他去吃饭了,小张去买菜了 as well, or does that have some other meaning? What's the idea of having 去 at the end?

Shenyajin, thanks a lot!

Learning 取, I found some more examples on www.nciku.com.

行李先存在这里,回头再来取。Xing2li5 xian1 cun2 zai4 zhe4li3, hui2tou2 zai4 lai2 qu3.
Let's check our luggage here and come back for it later.

她回去取行李去了。Ta1 hui2qu4 qu3 xing2li5 qu4 le5.
She's gone back to fetch her luggage.

What's the idea with the second 去 in the last sentence? There is already one 回去 that describes the direction of the action, 对吧?

Is there a simple phrase for picking up the luggage when returning to the hotel?

I figure one would hand over the receipt (发票fa1piao4, 收条shou1tiao2, 哪个好na3ge5hao3?) and say something like "Hi, I'd like to pick up my luggage".

Hehe, sounds like I should ask the hotel to buy my tickets then... I will be 一个人 the first two days. Or I will prepare a note to hand over in the ticket window.

Is this OK? 您好,由北京到北戴河的火车票,单程,软座,7月26日13:55。

Hm, what's the reason for them being unkind; do they earn more money if they handle the customers quickly?
