Click on the last sound file that says: 兄弟,真同情你!
You can hear the lady kind of sound like she's making that sound.

August 28, 2012 at 12:51 PMUmmm, it's not really an 啊 sound, it's not pronounced enough to be one in my opinion. You will also see other phrases ending with an "i" sound that will have this sort of elongated sound e.g. 我想问你. I think it's just something you'll hear, mainly girls but not strictly girls, I say that because I use it, but mind you I probably sound girly when I speak Chinese. I could be wrong though, it could be a particle, but like I said, it just doesn't sound like one to me.

I think it depends in what context you want to use them in. Dahouxiaohou's example of 自豪 (zì háo) is good, another word is 得意 (dé yì) which means complacent or proud of oneself. Do you have any particular sentences you want to use with the word "proud"?

我猜一下这个“重口味”的意思,我刚刚百度了一下,是不是指一个喜欢看比较变态的东西的人?
