Question:

The word 潜在,which is in this lesson, has tones shown as 2-4. My question is, do Chinese people actually read this word as qiǎnzài instead of qiánzài ?
Do Chinese people read the 潜 as 3rd tone, instead of 2nd tone?

Question #2:

I noticed that David talked about the TV screen sizes using inches(吋 cùn), but I find this surprising because inches aren't part of the metric system.

So, my question is, do Chinese people still use inches (吋 cùn) when they are talking about TV screen sizes, and also computer screen sizes?

in this lesson, there is the word 虾仁. Does this mean shrimp that is with a shell, or can it also be without a shell? If it is with a shell, then how do we say shrimp that is without the shell?

at 1:02 of this lesson, David said píng piào zi, when talking about buying TVs in China. What are those characters (Hanzi) ?

I think that for this lesson and the previous one that covered particles, it's sort of like exclamation/particle overload.  I guess what I mean is, it's tough to listen to about 9 minutes of particle-related sentences.

Maybe other people liked it, but I felt this one was a bit too forced

oh right on, cool. I'm also curious to know what would be written on Chinese forms telling people to write clearly. Maybe no such thing is written at all. But on English forms, I often see it say "please print clearly" at the top of the form.

I recently heard someone say 草体 (cǎotǐ), referring to cursive writing. How do we use this word? Can we use this word to say "He writes cursive really well" ?

Question:

When filling out forms in English, we often see the words "Please Print" at the top of the page. Sometimes Chinese people scribble things when they write them, and the writing isn't very legible. Can we use the word 楷书 to say "please print"? Or, does this word 楷书 ever appear on Chinese forms that Chinese people fill out?

can 书法 also mean "penmanship"? This is in dictionaries, but I don't buy it
