Zut alors! Non,je ne sais pas. As it's down to 1 lesson a week I don't check it as often but I've been meaning to check out FrenchPod in the last couple of days and was going to tonight so I would have found out anyway but that has really been a double blow today.JP was highly entertaining to listen to.He will indeed be hard to replace.I wish him all the best. :)

Ah yeah,I meant to mention google pinyin last night and forgot.I haven't tried it myself but have seen several people recommend it on the boards here [including Pete if I'm not mistaken].Perhaps I should check it out sometime.I suppose if I downloaded it,it would then just be a matter of selecting which imput method on the language bar rather than having to disable one;dui bu dui? Any opinion on this Raygo..and why google pinyin is better?
ps check your inbox mate.

Not at all mate.If I was hi-tech I wouldn't need to ask such questions.Just decided to have a bit of a check out of things that I should have gotten round to months ago.Next on my list is I'll have to check out the grammar guide.Yeah,I too just use the same as you.Sounds like you found the options I did by clicking on the context menu and then properties.Do many others use sentence prediction? ..how do you get around wrong predictions?
btw,Isn't your new avatar Ian Healy's bike?

I was finally organising my vocab today and was thinking the same thing.I suspect it's coming in the near future when they will also have pdf's for QW.In the meantime, you can add words yourself to the vocab tab by clicking on add word to the right of add word. With this you can only add Chinese,Pinyin, and English by the looks of things and no audio.Still,it's a start.IHTH.

Whoa;talking of typing Chinese slowly I just discovered something that's made it much faster...changing the coversion mode from word to sentence.'Course I've only just tried it on simple sentences I know are right [eg 我很喜欢中国菜..came out without having to go to the mouse to select]..it may cause strife on anything harder[eg 我对 zhao xi xi ...just didn't work once I got to the family name Zhao...does anyone know how to then get the right word in such a situation?...because it doesn't seem to give you any options to choose from ].Still easy to flick between the two I suppose, though I wouldn't want to be doing it mid sentence all the time.Has anyone tried double pinyin input, fuzzy input,or other input methods?

多谢.That sounds better. In that case I think her suggestion to him then is to 跑..对不对?

June 8, 2009 at 11:26 AMMike,
I think the xixi is his first name:
希希
..so I think you're right.I think Jenny might be saying:
我对赵希希,有一个真意
..I towards Zhao Xixi,have a real intention
[in otherwards I'd like to do something to [or in regards to] Zhao Xixi]
John:
是什么?
Jenny:
??跑 [run]..or ?? Pow [English..punch].Dunno.

June 9, 2009 at 7:50 AMHey Raygo;you're right...first try of google pinyin does seem to be a little more intuitive at guessing the charactes. At least I have the option to compare them as they're both still working.
