我不知道，不过我想猜。也许这个词用more formal situation? More of an apology than just a casual sorry? She's apologising on behalf of her company.I've definitely seen it before,but that's enough guessing.

ps Hey,my feeling on this was right and the search function is working.I just found an answer Amber left :

 抱歉 (bàoqiàn) also means to be apologetic, sorry, but would be used in a more formal setting. 道歉 (dàoqiàn) is also quite formal as well, and means "to apologize"

While I see the importance of this lesson,I personally have no intention of taking out a loan in China and thought the topic might be a bit dry.But oh no,as ever it turned out to be a very entertaining dialogue.Testament again to CPod's talent in turning a potentially mundane topic into somewhat of a crackup...from the buttering up at the start,the overflowing enthusiasm of the applicant [including his minimisation of problems ，his 对对对's and 应该的's, and promises of 翻身仗】 and the bribe at the end.Yeah，再问：红包有多少钱？

During the discussion in reference to 翻身仗 I heard Jenny mention promises of this change and used the word 承诺。I hadn't heard it in a while so I looked it up in mdbg just to check it out,but the funny thing is I did know it and yet it doesn't get a hsk rating there and yet the other words that mean promise there that do get a hsk rating I am unfamiliar with.I suspect this comes down to differences in usage.Not trying to make a point.Just find it interesting.

我觉得 it's in 17 minutes,but I'll need to double check【I think it's meant to be 3pm Melbourne but I think they're on daylight savings...remember Qld's not...so nearly 2 pm here].Not sure but I've a feeling it could be Shocking,crime scene,and mourilyan.Cheers mate. :)

Thanks for that.Rereading what I wrote,I meant "horseracing" of course and not "horseriding".I've now got access to perakun and I see it would have led me a little astray as it's rollover has it the other way around..it has 骑师 as horseman and 骑手 as jockey.Interesting that google input had 骑师 as about the 20th option and 骑手 as the fourth option,but I think the order changes around all the time.Not really sure how that works except that if I use an option it bumps it way up the list.I appreciate your time in answering. :)

Thanks for your helpful insights.As I'm someone with little first hand experience :

I've gotta say that I heard "xin ku ni le" quite often down in southern Taiwan and this dialogue is dead on for the kind of conversation you can expect at the airport

..it's great to hear what's being said over there,and as there can be regional variation sometimes,knowing where people are hearing these things is also helpful.Cheers :)

Can't wait to hear more of your experiences in Southern Taiwan.
