I'm interested in addressing someone as laoban. Is there a risk of offending in this? What if you're addressing an employee as laoban when the real laoban walks in? What about if you assume the older person working there is the laoban and it turns out it's the younger person is the laoban? What if you can't tell. Or is it ok to address anyone as laoban and no-one gives two hoots?
