忠Jaron,

What I'm impressed with is that you managed to get a Chinese character into your username. How did you do that? Have we had the ability to do that for a while and I just didn't notice?

btw when are you moving to UAE? how do you think the cats will go? Expensive to transport them I hear. Too bad it's not ancient Egypt where they were revered.

Chanelle, I couldn't get that link to work. But from the title, I've got the drift. Actually, having had the dog meat lesson, I was wondering how often cats turn up in restaurant meals. You hear of dogs, but not so much of cats.

George,

Thanks for your detailed answer. Just to clarify a point:

When you say:

"it makes for a pretty good guide"

...can I take it from this that it is not always the case? ie the thick end is usually the start of the stroke but not always? [ I thought I struck this the other day...or would that have been an error that I should let you know about]. If it's not always, then how will I know when to rely on it?

Once again, I think skritter is awesome. I'm just looking to fine tune my usage of it so I get the most out of it.

ps. I'm sure you'll let us all know if/when it becomes available on the iphone, right?

oh right mate... can I blame the floods? I haven't been up with the news lately but I'm up to speed now. It wouldn't have been too cryptic if I'd read the article I just found.

where's the Nobel River? ...the answer could be embarrassing I fear...something I'm supposed to know no doubt, hehe.

I tried to pick a non youtube video [as I presume you guys in china still can't get it without vpn right?],but no luck I guess. Here's another go at it:
