...this I have to agree with. Nothing like rounding out the picture and getting lots of different perspectives. The more input the better. Even better if we have someone who has a contrary view so as to spark a debate that we may all end up learning from. I rarely think things are likely to be black and white. My guess [and sorry mate, I have very limited experience visiting Chinese hospitals] is that the scenario in the dialogue is real enough in some settings, but the scene may be different elsewhere as bodawei suggests. It's possible this isn't even necessarily regional. It may be that the scene in the hospital on the other side of town [or possibly down the road] may be appreciably different. We need much bigger figures and input to get a fuller picture, but at least hearing of the experience of various poddies may give us some insights. So thanks mate for always being so generous in sharing your valuable experience. Join in everyone. hao ba.

thankyou for this insight. Very interesting. Probably irrelevant but I couldn't help but think of how average gastric emptying time is around 2 hours. Do you know what time period 早 applies to? [and supplementary question...is there an organ to go with that?]

November 15, 2010 at 6:00 AMthanks Jimijames. I had a notion it was Bruce Lee, though I'm not clear why he went with that term and not wushu. I guess it doesn't really matter and it's enough to know that's why the west uses the term kung fu and china wushu.

I can see why you'd say that, but I really hope you're wrong. John is indispensable and I thought there were assurances given in the podcast that no-one was leaving [and this was also given previously when John started Allset]. I think and hope they're just mixing things up a bit.
