Just had a look and if you go on Home and then on the right side of that page under your username click on edit profile, it takes you to a page where you can click on "update settings" which gives you the options about notifications. Good luck mate :)

interestingly there is no equivalent there to the English "the long and short of it"

..I thought it had everything to do with the ability of eating the whole watermelon [that is lack thereof] and nothing to do with the either the permission to eat the watermelon or the ability to eat some of the watermelon, but I guess John clarified that.
But what I'm really curious about is the next bit from 2:41:
"so 吃不了, right, and this is 了[le] but here it's pronounced liǎo"
...this to me seems to suggest that le and liao are just different pronunciations of the same character, same meaning, same "word", whereas I thought le and liao were unrelated [in meaning...separate "words"] except for the fact they share the same written character.

April 26, 2011 at 6:32 AMJust downloaded last weeks lessons and I'm curious about something. When I download the lessons, previously the icon has always been of a Chinese nvren with long straight hair [partially covering her left eye]...I'm wondering who that is. But I notice that for both N&F and BST on the weekend [as well as in itunes] there is a different icon this time of nvren wearing headphones. Curious who that is. I note todays lesson is back to the old icon. Shenme yisi? Perhaps the new icon is just for a change and the old icon appears in todays lesson as it was made before the weekends lessons and before the new icon was ascribed.
