May 9, 2011 at 3:54 AM尿 is an interesting character...水 【water/liquid】 leaving a 尸[ corpse.../body] from below. Particularly intesting because the corpse is a little reminiscent of a sleeping body...so it's all the characters fault.

May 8, 2011 at 12:59 AMI think on the surface that sounds similar to "the long and short of it" but I wonder if the usage is not the same. This one seems to be talking about the pros and cons, whereas the English is really about summarising...bringing down to the key points. Particularly when you're talking about some event and then you're wanting to cut to the chase and discuss the upshot. I guess I'd need to see it in usage...I've not struck it before.

May 9, 2011 at 4:12 AMI was wondering whether bed wetting alarm would be 尿闹 【short for 尿床闹钟】 which I thought would have a nice ring to it, but alas it looks like it's 报警【 which could, alarmingly for young 宝宝, be literally translated as report to the police!!]. Anyhow, when verifying if this was the correct term, lazily just did a google translation of an advertised product which rendered this pleasant take on it's function:
"This example introduces a new baby bed-wetting alarm, which I min after the baby will urinate in a relaxed, joyous sound of the chord melodies repeatedly issued a "baby in urine it!" To remind the language, avoid the sound of the baby is causing urination The alarmed and interference, both to make timely replacement of the baby wet diapers, change diapers and to reduce the number of physical and mental health of infants and very useful."
..joyous indeed.
