May 19, 2011 at 1:31 AMI've gotta dash now mate, but it looks like the Chinese one to me [ I grew up with the Japanese tv series]. ...I do know that there have been umpteen and more Chinese versions and more though of course. Sorry, gotta run...so will pass on this for now...but I do like the question.

was clearly from the tv series I mentioned above, but that lesson pic has a lot more to go on...it has the whole crew. This one only has monkey and some random character. The garb is the same in the lesson pic as in the above mentioned series..at least in one episode of the second series monkey does wear the tiger skin around his neck, I'm just not 100% if it's the same actor...not certain on the face...it could be the angle and the state of the facial hair [might be a bad hair day] but not sure.
