July 3, 2011 at 6:42 AMYeah, this was a great lesson. I love the concept behind this one....exploring an English word that is expressed in many different ways in Chinese depending on context.

July 3, 2011 at 4:32 AM...did I? Jeepers, early dementia but still with it enough to recognise it. Fingers in so many pies I forgot which pies they were, hehe.

July 3, 2011 at 3:46 AMHave you listened to the Detective Li series? It is so well done, so it makes it more interesting. The bonus is that because it's a series, you may well find that some vocab repeats itself and of course you'll have more context. No matter what you end up choosing to do, I'll keep a lookout and try and help where I can, but I'll be more motivated to go over the whole transcription in that series rather than focus on the bits in brackets. Just a thought mate. Of course choose whatever piques your interest most though. :)

July 3, 2011 at 3:01 AMI think of 回来 as 1 word and 会来 as two separate words, so it should be said slightly differently [not to mention the tone difference], with a slightly perceptible gap in the second instance.
