ok, well the prize goes to kong yi.....it's 13286 from Australia. Here's some figures on foreigners from the 2010 census:

Article 2: The People's Republic of China is a unitary multinational state; persons belonging to any of the nationalities in China shall have Chinese nationality.

btw, this census counted how many foreigners were living in China at the time and did not count tourists.

That would mean that the majority of US citizens that were in China were in Guangdong and that the proportion that went to that province cf other provinces was way more than other foreigners did.

Kong-yi is closer where aussies are concerned

haha, yeah. Yesterday I was looking up info on just how many waiguoren there are in China, and found there are indeed foreigners who have attained Chinese citizenship by which I answered my own question of a long time ago.
