I loved this MM. I have no idea which movie it is, but the discussion was grand. The vocab terrific. I totally get Dave's intelligent humor, haha...raising pigeons vs. raising boxes! Hilarious! Getting revenge vx. getting a salary! Hahaha...Or is it intelligent anger? Ha!

Oh, no! Really? Are you OK? Where did you go get your stitches? Did you report it to the police?

Poor wang wei...he sounded so desperate. Heartless yang jie. It can't end this way! What's going to happen to WW? I hope he doesn't jump off a bridge or something like that? That'd make for interesting vocabulary though (>_<)

@BC--Hahaha...is that true? I live five minutes from his Taliesen estate/home/architecture school and been there a couple of times. The buildings are beautiful and, well, architectural! Thanks re:new avatar : )

Anyone want to take a jab at translating that into Chinese?

I read that the famous and prolific architect Frank Lloyd Wright did much of his best work after 75...I met a lovely, lucid, clear-minded 101 year old patient this year who recited this poem to me while I splinted his broken ankle (which he sustained while picking oranges.) -- Age is a quality of mind. If your dreams you've left behind-- If hope is cold-- And you no longer look ahead And your ambitious fires are dead, Then--you're old But if in life you do your best, If in life you keep your zest-- And love you hold-- No matter how the years go by, No matter how the birthdays fly-- You are not old.

light478 you are right: 3-2-3 is most natural sounding; the wo3 is truncated i.e. just the downward part of the 3rd tone
